July News
The Ontario Society of Artists 140th Anniversary Show at the Aurora Cultural Centre ended on July 14. Quite a few people I invited attended the Show and sent back rave reviews about the work and the venue. I am thrilled to have sold the oil I exhibited, “First Snow, The Annex, Toronto” as a result of an email invitation. All but one of my “Annex” oils have been sold.
I have forwarded an application to the Ontario Society of Artists to have a painting included in the Government of Ontario’s Art Collection. It would be displayed in Government buildings and would be owned and cared for in perpetuity by the Ontario Archives. The image submitted is “Spring Woodlands”, oil on canvas, 24″ x 30″, #1593.
In August, I should be hearing more about the Society of Canadian Artists Elected Members’ Show at the Halifax Club in Halifax, Nova Scotia. It will run from September 30 to December 31, 2012. The Club was established in 1862. It will be very exciting to exhibit work in this prestigious building.
