Julie, Jessica, Sophia and Helena enjoyed a painting session with John on Monday afternoon. They worked with acrylics on small canvas boards, and then moved to other media. A good time was had by all.

I had several paintings in an exhibition in Zagreb, Croatia, from November to December 2007.
I showed my recent Montreal alley scenes at the SCA exhibition on the 6th floor of the Ogilvy’s store in Montreal.
I am part of the “Plein air ensemble”, a group of about 30 artists largely from the Ottawa-Gatineau region. The group will be painting in early April 2009 for 5-6 days at the Centre Touristique de la Petite Rouge, about 30 km north of Montebello, Quebec. The Rivière Rouge, Petite Rouge, la Petite Nation and la Lièvre are among the picturesque rivers in the area which flow south into the Ottawa River. In April we will be able to enjoy painting rapids, waterfalls, woodlands, swamps as well as villages and rural landscapes. It is very fulfilling to capture this wonderful area on canvas.
