Earlier this month, I was elected as a member of the Society of Canadian Artists. The Society has about 250 elected members and has juried art shows around Canada. I was juried into the Papermill Gallery at Todmorden Mills in Toronto for an exhibition in May, 2009. I also applied to the juried exhibition at the Saint John Arts Centre in Saint John, New Brunswick. I am honoured to be part of the Society.

Local artist John Mlacak will exhibit his paintings at the upcoming Toronto Art Expo show in Toronto from March 19-22 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

Keegan, Helena, Martha and Sophia enjoyed a painting class with John. After donning their smocks, they started with sketches. They built their palettes of acrylics, and worked on their paintings.
After the paintings had dried, they presented their works to the audience, and answered questions. They all did a great job!
