John Mlacak died peacefully at home on Friday, September 19. He will be greatly missed by the art community. The Ottawa Citizen published this obituary on Saturday.

I just received notification that I was successfully juried into Ottawa Art Expo 2015 to be held on October 25 to 26. I have been with Expo since its first show in 2008 and in 2010 was presented with the Lucille Broadbent Award for Artistic Achievement by the Committee. The featured painting is one that was submitted to the jury.
Pine Bay
I joined a new gallery today in Perth called the “Gallery on Gore”. They are showing a number of my paintings, as you can see here.
The Society for Canadian Artists used my painting image on their poster (at top right). This is for the show in Toronto from July 23 to August 27, 2014.
I am delighted that my oil on canvas painting, “Forêt extraordinaire”, 11” x 14” will be included in the upcoming Society of Canadian Artists’ Juried Exhibition at the Etobicoke Civic Centre Art Gallery from July 23 to August 27, 2014.
